Meanwhile Brewing Co. serves first-ever Red River Rivalry-dedicated beer, Halloween Events, Live Music, and More This October

WHEN: October 2026
WHO: Meanwhile Brewing Co., the 3.7-acre community hub in Southeast Austin featuring: a thoughtfully designed taproom serving award-winning craft beer made onsite in the brewhouse; an expansive beer garden designed to enjoy the curated lineup of food trucks and the brewery’s robust calendar of live music and events; and recreational amenities including a soccer pitch, sand volleyball courts and playground.
WHAT: Programming highlights include the Red River Rivalry Watch Party (Oct. 10) with game day-only food specials; Farmers Market (Oct. 11) with local vendors selling seasonal produce, pasta, pastries, flowers, candles, skincare and more, plus free yoga; 2nd Annual Bikes & Beers Austin (Oct. 24), the premier cycling event series beginning and ending at Meanwhile with 15, 30, or 45-mile challenges and a post-ride beer festival; annual Dog Pawrty & Costume Contest (Oct. 28) benefitting Happy Hearts Dog Rescue with adoptable dogs, local pet vendors, a costume contest, raffle and dog tarot readings; weekly Halloween Double Feature Movie Nights starting Oct. 1; and a Halloween Carnival that pulls out all the stops, with carnival games, face painting, tarot readings, food vendors and horror ephemera.
Limited-edition and Seasonal beers this month include:
- Meanwhile’s first Red River Rivalry-inspired beer Official Sponsor (4.5% ABV), a burnt orange fruited wheat with citrus and tropical fruit flavors;
- 2026 Texas Craft Brewers Cup Gold Medal winner for Strong IPA Sparkle & Ruin (8.5% ABV), a limited-release offering notes of passionfruit, orange and strawberry;
- Oktoberfest (5.9% ABV), a seasonal Festbier with notes of honey, sourdough and a toasty hint of floral and toffee;
- Same Day Delivery (6.5% ABV), a Fresh Hop IPA using air-freight hops straight off the bine from the Pacific Northwest, with notes of watermelon, mango and strawberry;
- Helles (4.7% ABV), a German-style Helles lager with bready, floral, grassy notes;
- Curious Fellow (7.1% ABV), an intriguing Mosaic IPA with notes of bumbleberry, citrus and pine.
Free and ticketed musical performances include: Low Gap (Oct. 2), fresh off the release of their debut album Geneva, blends ’90s alt-country and Americana with a modern country edge; Jac with No K (Oct. 9) brings their self-described “New Texas Groove,” blending bluesy rock, alt-country and catchy alternative melodies; and Llamativa (Oct. 30), an all-female Chicana/Latina band combining cumbia, salsa, Tejano, chacha and bolero for a night built for dancing. Costumes are highly encouraged, so come dressed up and ready for a Halloween Cumbia Night.
