Meanwhile Brewing Co. Launches Summer with Soccer Fever, Father’s Day Concerts, Limited-Availability Picnic Party Bottled Beer Series

WHO: ​ Meanwhile Brewing Co., the 3.7-acre community hub in Southeast Austin, featuring a thoughtfully designed taproom serving award-winning craft beer made onsite in the brewhouse, an expansive beer garden designed to enjoy the curated lineup of food trucks and the brewery’s robust calendar of live music and events, and recreational amenities including a soccer pitch, sand volleyball courts, and playground.

WHAT: Free and ticketed musical performances from Kirk Smith, who brings a crossover between New Wave and Americana with an unmistakable 90s dance vibe; Miguel St. Michael, who blends Latin Pop, Tejano, and Cumbia with alternative influences; a guitar-driven blend of Classic Rock, '90s Alternative, and Americana from Brian Wolff & the Howlers, and more; soccer-themed happenings, including: a beer collaboration with World Beer Cup-winning Mexican brewery Cervecería Hércules and programming with soccer retail specialist Soccer Post; new weekly summer-only events, including Friday Book Swaps and free Crafts for Kids on Sundays; and exclusive on-site only beer introductions, including: Picnic Party, a limited-edition, four-volume series of cocktail-inspired bottled beers; rotating lagers; rotating IPAs and seasonal beers only available while supplies last.

Limited edition beers and collaborations, including: Hero’s Journey (4.8% ABV), a limited edition Mexican Amber Ale with dough, citrus and herbal notes produced in collaboration with Cervecería Hércules and scheduled for release on June 11, just in time for soccer fans to enjoy while watching Team Mexico play their first match; Picnic Party, Meanwhile’s limited-edition series of four cocktail-inspired 750 mL bottled beers – with only 150 bottles produced of each – arrives June 26 with a French 75-inspired beer (4.8% ABV). ​ Built on a light, crisp lager base to mimic the effervescence of champagne, the beer is conditioned on lightly charred lemon peel and floral botanicals commonly used in gin production. ​ To mark each release, resident food trucks will offer one-night-only menu specials paired to each volume in the series, beginning with Side Eye Pie in collaboration with Small’s Pizza. ​

Rotating drafts on tap at Meanwhile in June include: Neon Cowboy, a passion fruit Hazy IPA; a Japanese-style lager (4.9% ABV), delivering a dry finish with subtle citrus and herbaceous notes; and Sunny (5.2% ABV), a ​ summer pale ale with notes of peach, passion fruit and tangerine.
